Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
OpenInKick is built to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect when you create a link or tap one, and why.
When someone taps an OpenInKick link
To show streamers anonymous click statistics, we record:
- The link that was tapped and the time
- Approximate location (country, region and city), derived from the IP address by our hosting provider
- Device type, operating system and browser or app (for example “iPhone, Instagram”)
- The referring website, if the browser sends one
- An anonymous visitor ID: a one-way hash of the IP address, browser user agent and link, combined with a secret value that changes every day. It lets us count unique visitors per day without identifying anyone or tracking people across days.
We do not store IP addresses, use cookies on redirects, build profiles, or sell data. Click records are kept for up to 90 days in detailed form; daily click totals are kept for as long as the link exists.
When you create a link
We store the Kick link you entered, your short link and a scrambled (hashed) version of your private stats link. We don't ask for your name or email. Links you create are also saved in your own browser's local storage so you can find them under My links; you can delete them there at any time.
To prevent bots from creating links, the generator uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process technical information about your browser. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Who processes data
OpenInKick runs on Cloudflare (hosting, database and analytics). Data is processed under Cloudflare's data processing terms.
Your private stats link
Anyone who has your private stats link can see that link's statistics, so share it only with people you trust.
